Unfortunately, no blasting off BUT it can totally "move"! This video is from a few months ago and they haven't posted any official new stuff yet. However, people who encounter the Gundam take fan pictures and videos of it, posting them to twitter and such, showcasing the articulation demonstrations by the official workers.
Wow a life size Gundam that's pretty sick, thought it would've been cool to see it move or blast off, but that might be asking too much lol.
